Launch of the book "50 Romanian wines meet 50 Italian dishes", February 19, 2015, in the ULBS Senate Hall - the book is the winner of the first prize, nationally for Romania in 2014 in the category Best Wine Book Translation awarded by Gourmand Drinks Awards and to represent Romania at the world final of the competition in Yantai, the Capital of Chinese Wine, during the Grapes by the Sea Festival in June 2015.

Seminar on Local and European Policies to Support the Competitiveness of SMEs in the Food Industry 2014
ULBS Academic Meeting Center, in collaboration with the Agency for Regional Development Center "Gheorghe Ionescu Sisești" Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.
The purpose of this seminar was to discuss, together with decision makers, policies and programs for the period 2014-2020, on supporting and financing the competitiveness and sustainability of SMEs in the food industry.
Models of good practice for the development of local partnerships between producers, processors and distributors in the agri-food sector were presented, leading to a better use of local resources and to increasing the safety and quality of local agri-food products.
Another important topic of the seminar was the presentation of funding opportunities for existing research and innovation projects in the fields of food security, sustainable agriculture, bioeconomy and biotechnology, through Horizon 2020 and other national programs.

National Phase Ecotrophelia Contest 2014
"Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu was represented at the national phase of the European Ecotrophelia 2014 competition by two teams: the "Mirabelle" team consisting of students Andrăşescu Daniela, Aleman Roxana, Buşe Denisa and the "Ciocosib" team consisting of Şuiu Daniel, Nicu Alexandra, Lăzărescu Iulia, Frîncu Iulian, both from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Food Industry and Environmental Protection (ŞAIAPM), coordinated by the Chief of Works Dr. Eng. Mironescu Monica. The "Mirabelle" team with the product "Chocolate candies filled with jam, goji and apricot kernels" was chosen by the jury, winning the special prize "Expergo Innovation Award" for the best product with the best integrated sensory attributes, worth 1000 lei, offered by sponsors and also a very honorable 3rd place, in the first year of participation.
