Besides the scientific research and teaching activities, the Metal Forming Research Center can provide specific services to business community, such as:
Technical support services
- Support in technology transfer (assimilation of new manufacturing equipment and technologies)
- Technical assistance in the development and implementation of new projects and / or products
- Carrying out measurements or determinations on specific equipment within the center
- Performing some technological processing operation on the machines within the center
- Elaboration of technical reports
Training services
- The Metal Forming Research Center is authorized to organize training and specialization courses for technical staff with higher education (engineers) and medium education (workers, technicians and foremen), the issued diplomas being recognized by the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection.
- The Metal Forming Research Center is able to organize training/specialization courses for engineers, on the following themes: CAD techniques (computer aided design), CAE techniques (finite element method analysis and optimization), CAM techniques (computer aided programming of numerically controlled machine-tools - CNC)
- The Metal Forming Research Center is able to organize specialization courses for me technical staff with medium education (workers, technicians, foremen), on the following themes: operator for numerically controlled machine tools (CNC)
- During 2010-2011, within the Metal Forming Research Center was held the program POSDRU/39/3.2/G/22512, financed by European funds, entitled: Training the technical staff with higher and medium education within the manufacturing sector in design techniques, manufacturing and computer aided technical analysis and development of managerial skills to coordinate technical teams. During the unfolding of the program, over 240 engineers, workers, technicians, and foremen obtained diplomas for the "CAD specialist" and "Operator for numerically controlled machine tools" occupations.
