Multi-paradigm approach for co-simulation and deployment of production systems
Client profile: Automotive supplier, Software and Hardware vendor, S.C. Continental S.R.L. Sibiu.
Client needs: Test the benefits and the maturity level of CPS-based technologies on a small-scale production system to reflect, as realistic and accurate as possible, the company’s real manufacturing and testing processes.
Provided solution to meet the needs: An integrated product-production co-simulation for CPS-based industrial control solution was designed and build by the University Lucian Blaga of Sibiu (ULBS). Moreover, a CPS-based production system prototype was also constructed by employing the combined INTO-CPS and 4DIAC platforms along-side 20-Sim as a proof-of-concept for a feasible and promising approach to engineer the factory of the future.
