MULTI-PURPOSE MATERIALS

        

         The multi-purpose materials testing laboratory includes several experimental bases being intended for the development and testing of materials in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering and textile engineering.




        ​​​​The experimental and educational base of IM 107 was recently modernized (in 2019) with the financial support of the ODU company.
        ​Of the laboratory equipment intended for testing materials in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering can be mentioned:photoelastometer equipment, the HBM QuantumX - MX840A data acquisition system, and the microscope for materials LEICA DM 1750M.

        ​​Among the laboratory equipment for investigating innovative materials in the field of textile engineering can be mentioned: TRILUS 191G MESDAN, individual microdynamometer ELTENS, device CROCKMASTER model 670 for determining the abrasion resistance of paints, dynamometer for textiles and leather TITAN 2 - James Heal, device NU-MARTINDALE for abrasion and pilling - Universal Abrasion and Pilling Tester.

        ​​​ ​The laboratory conducts research on the performance of raw materials and materials obtained by advanced surface modification technologies, physical-mechanical characterization and comfort parameters of textiles, investigating functional changes by applying natural products or coatings made of metal nanoparticles.
        ​ ​The laboratory is also equipped with a device for determining the abrasion resistance that offers a characterization of the wear in operation of the materials obtained by applying surface modification techniques.
