The research activities within the Metal Forming Research Centre are divided into several major research themes.
The major strength of the Centre lies in the combination of theoretically oriented research and applied research, in cooperation with industrial companies.
This is reflected in a high degree of external funding the centre attracts both from national and international organization (e.g. National Ministry of Education and Research, World Bank) and from industry, by means of research grants.
From the considerable funds the Metal Forming Research Centre was able to raise, a major proportion flows into developing its own research infrastructure.
The dissemination of the research results is done mainly by publishing scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences proceedings.
