About the centre
Who we are and what we aim for
The Research Centre in Sport Science and Physical Education belongs to the Faculty of Sciences of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and focuses on physical education, sport and human movement. We aim to develop research with practical applications in education, training and health promotion. The centre is open to teachers, researchers, students and practitioners interested in collaboration and in applying scientific results in practice.
The mission of the Research Centre in Sport Science and Physical Education is to carry out interdisciplinary research and apply its results to improve physical education, support sports performance and promote health in the community.
The centre aims to become an academic benchmark in Sport Science and Physical Education through the quality of its research, the development of partnerships and the applicability of its results.
Our vision is to build a collaborative environment in which teachers, researchers, students and practitioners jointly develop evidence-based solutions for physical education, sport and health promotion.
