(EN)<\/strong>\nIn recent years, Romanian society has been confronted with a succession of crises that have put pressure on the values and rules generally accepted after 1989: economic deficits, the crisis of electoral processes, and the decline in the state's capacity. At the same time, several international crises have interfered with domestic challenges: the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the war in the Middle East. Under these conditions, separate examination of internal crises becomes insufficient and counterproductive. We aim to respond to this challenge in an inter- and multidisciplinary manner, investigating geopolitical and thematic spaces integratively proposing policies and scenarios based on solid national and transnational factual bases.\r\nIn this context, our conference challenges researchers:\r\n1. To collect recent facts, classify and rank them according to relevant criteria;\r\n2. To test old theories by relating them to new phenomena, processes, and trends;\r\n3. To produce new theories (models, scenarios) that provide decision-makers with public policy solutions appropriate to the management of recent crises.\r\nThe Annual Conference Series \"Politics and Security\" (organized by the Department of International Relations, Political Science and Security Studies together with the Research Center in Political Science, International Relations and European Studies within the \"Lucian Blaga\" University of Sibiu) brings together experts and analyses in the profiles of political science, international relations, and security studies. The trends we want explained and forecasted, without being exhaustive, refer to:\r\n- The state and prospects of democracy and its fundamental rules (separation of powers in the state, supremacy of the constitution, human rights);\r\n- The legal, de facto, and desirable relationships between democracy and security;\r\n- The capacity of the Romanian state's security systems and policies, in relation to its internal needs and foreign interests;\r\n- Evolutions in regional power relations and their effects on the interests and alliances of Romania and significant regional actors: European Union, NATO, United States of America, Russian Federation, People's Republic of China;\r\n- Domestic and international processes in the case of neighboring states: the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, and Bulgaria;\r\n- Challenges and opportunities for Romania's foreign policy, in the context of multiple global and regional crises;\r\n- The role of research (of the researcher and research institutions) in explaining and professionally forecasting Romania's internal processes and international actions.\r\nTo debate particular aspects or intersections of the proposed topic, we are waiting for your proposals to participate in the Annual Conference \"Politics and Security\", on October 21, 2026, in an online format.\r\nProposals must be submitted by September 15, 2026, and will contain: author; title; abstract of maximum 200 words, in Romanian; self-presentation of the author of maximum 200 words, in Romanian. Acestei provoc\u0103ri ne propunem s\u0103 r\u0103spundem inter- \u0219i multidiscipinar, investig\u00e2nd integrativ spa\u021bii geopolitice \u0219i tematici, propun\u00e2nd politici \u0219i scenarii a\u0219ezate pe solide baze factuale na\u021bionale \u0219i transna\u021bionale.\r\n\u00cen acest context, conferin\u021ba noastr\u0103 provoac\u0103 cercet\u0103torii:\r\n1.
