Mission and aims

The human society is becoming increasingly complex. Through globalization and technological innovations, the pace of life is accelerating and the way people live and work is becoming more diverse and sophisticated. Organizations are facing increasing pressure to change and manage this complexity of today's environment.

In this context, the Research Center for Sustainable Products and Processes aims to address various societal challenges through:

- multidisciplinary approach in finding sustainable solutions, using knowledge from different disciplines of engineering, sciences and humanities;

- implementation of an iterative research process, focused on the real needs of society and oriented on the development of sustainable solutions and models;

- the usage of creative tools, practices and methods to stimulate innovation, to solve current problems and to address future challenges;

- the usage of tools, methods, techniques for the development / improvement of products and processes (in the fields of QM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Management, PLM, ...) that can contribute to achieving sustainability both at the macro level (organization) and at the micro level (products and processes).

Our activities:

- research projects of local, regional, national and international interest and relevance;

- trainings and educational programs in the fields of sustainable resources, products, processes and businesses;

- consultancy work on how to develop sustainable products and processes and on sustainable perspectives on resources and businesses;
